· Head Curator & Authenticator, Acquisitions & Estates: David S. Fredericks – david@antiquitiesplus.com
· Lead Anthropologist, Certified and Licensed Appraiser: Dr. Timothy W. Jones, PhD, IAA, Sales Contact - Dr. Timothy William Jones PhD email - TimothyWilliamJones@gmail.com
The main Curator and Authenticator of Antiquities, Plus... is David Fredericks. David first started collecting artifacts at the young age of seven, while following his mother around the states of Indiana, Illinois and Ohio when she was a Professor of History at Ball State University. It was in the old antique shops and farm sales that David first found his true love of objects from exotic lands. He is the personal Curator and Authenticator to approximately eleven major collections, and as a condition of taking them on, has 'free run' of the collections. This means he can examine, clean, and use whatever means necessary to discover and remove all artificial coatings, cull an item out of a collection when it is determined to not be authentic, or declare an item authentic, sometimes with repairs, restorations, or modifications. David has donated his own entire extensive collection for the projects that we support. David attended Ball State University, majoring in biology, with microbiology being his passion. This led him, indirectly, into the study of authentication of artifacts, as he learned the ways items were made, repaired, restored, or very often, plainly faked. While his highest passion is for Archaic Jades, he has learned to authenticate all ancient stone work, along with bronze, pottery, and numerous other media. He has learned, via the 'school of hard knocks', the 'games' played by the testing laboratories, Museum Curators, and the so-called 'Top Dealers in the world. He has a frequent saying, “Scientists lie, laboratories lie, museums lie, but a microscope never lies; it always tells the truth, if you let it.” David has been buying all the latest reproductions, in excess of $20,000-30,000 per year, for years, has examined in-depth multiple top collections, and works with some of the finest impartial minds in the business. This has kept on him ‘on top of the game', and has allowed him to follow the course of deceit dating back hundreds of years. With a passion for authenticating artifacts, and for knowing everything that can be learned of their physical history, since the time of their creation and though the spanning ages, David just will not let ‘anomalies’ lie down and become part of an artifact, but will work non-stop until he has them figured out and placed in their proper order in an artifact’s history. Whether a piece is 100% in-situ, repaired at the time it was made, or repaired at different times since its creation, how the repairs were performed and whether they add or detract from an item's desirability, David’s investigative techniques are considered unique in the field of professional authentication, and an extremely valuable asset to our clients.

Antiquities, Plus… is operated as an entity by private individuals working together for a higher benefit. All members of our team work on a volunteer basis, and as such, we have no employees, only dedicated professionals working towards a common goal of research, education, authentication, and dedication to others. As a group, we use the revenue we receive to pay for the business operating expenses; proceeds in excess of these expenses are earmarked to go toward two privately run and privately funded humanitarian projects, which we are in the process of setting up. Our group of professionals is totally committed to these ideals and stand 100% behind our motto of ‘Building By Integrity Only’.
[Note: For those who feel they must share our photographs with 'Professional Experts' who seem to be able to tell real from fake & restored from in-situ solely by photographic examination, please get these responses in writing, as this is what we offer to all our clients. We do not possess this 'unique ability' to 100% authenticate a piece by photograph alone, without physical and close-up examination of the item.]
